Here’s a little bit about DLAS
The Delta Literary Arts Society is a not-for-profit society with an ambitious mandate to
promote the literary arts in all three of Delta’s communities by hosting writers’ circles and workshops,
dramatized literary events, festivals, contests, authors’ readings, annual anthology, reading in conversations, open mics, spoken word slams, stage plays, and short film festivals.
We aspire to offer FREE and inclusive programming in art centres, libraries, classrooms, hospitals, transition houses, rehabilitation centres, and other venues to present writing as a communication tool promoting self-expression, self-esteem, healing, and self-discovery.
Look for our submission call for our annual fundraiser event, Killer Verse, a horror/sci-fi themed dramatized show, as well for our Short Film Festival on day three of our Composed Festival of Writing this June.
With your help, we hope to raise funds to support literary scholarships, mentorships, and programs to support student writers.
Your membership in the Delta Literary Arts Society helps up provide FREE literary programing to all ages and level of experience in Delta.
