Writers’ Circles

Supportive gatherings for writers of all levels with prompts, optional sharing, and time for socializing led by caring and creative facilitators.

Two separate drop-in dates and locations a month:

Bio:
ANGELA REBREC lives, works, and plays on the unceeded lands of the Musqeam, Tsawwassen, Stó:lō, and Kwantlen peoples.
Her most recent writing has appeared in Vallum, Prairie Fire, GRAIN, The Tenth Muse as well as the anthology Voicing Suicide (Ekstasis Editions, 2020).
Angela’s poetry films have been recognized at the Barcelona International Film Festival, FilmmakerLife Awards, and Santa Barbara International Shortfest, among others.
Her work has been shortlisted for various contests including Prism International‘s NonFiction Contest and Pulp Literature‘s Kingfisher Poetry Prize.
Angela’s 2020 collaboration with composer Mickie Wadsworth for ART SONG LAB has been included in NewMusicShelf’s Anthology of New Music for Trans & Nonbinary Voices, vol.1.
She is active in her community supporting the arts by facilitating writing and expressive arts workshops for kids and adults of all ages.
Angela is the founding and current president of the Delta Literary Arts Society (DLAS).

Bio:
ANNA EASTLAND lives in Delta with her husband and nine children in a state of general chaos, interspersed with quiet moments when everyone is eating cookies. She writes her best poems while hiding in the bathroom and started performing them at the North Delta Open Mic this past year.
Author of the poetry book “unexpected blossoming: a journey of grief and hope,” Anna can be often be found working on her second poetry book at Cravings Coffee, where her latest book, an anthology called “Never-ending Love: Sharing Stories, Prayers and Comfort for Miscarriage and Infant Loss,” is for sale.
She believes that pouring out our hearts in writing helps us discover that life’s fragility makes it more beautiful. Anna is very excited to meet you in person and to encourage you on your journey!
Anna has contributed to various other anthologies and co-authored “Beginner’s Guide to Growing Baby: Tips to Help You through All Four Trimesters” with her writer buddy Bonnie Way. Anna’s poem “Kootenay Glacier Crush” was featured on The Habit Podcast.
